Admission
Requirements
Students
enrolling in the Certificate IV in
Christian Ministry at Tahlee Bible College will also be enrolled
as students with ACOM Localnet.
Students are
normally enrolled on the basis of completion of the
Higher School Certificate (or equivalent), with results which would
normally qualify the applicant to enrol in an equivalent TAFE
program. Students over 21 years may also apply for mature age entry.
In some instances, provisional admission may be granted to those who do
not meet the above requirements but who can demonstrate that they are
capable of pursuing studies at this level. After completing one term of
the course, the student's proficiency will be evaluated for
granting full admission or otherwise.
Students will
be required to be
in agreement with the principles of
Tahlee Bible College and to abide
by the principles and
practices of community living at Tahlee.
Applications
for admission from students for whom English is a second language, must
be accompanied by a result of not less than 6 in the IELTS to
demonstrate sufficient
English language ability to engage in the studies required.
Admission
Procedures
Applicants are
required to complete an application form, including providing proof of
educational standards achieved at school and other post secondary
educational and professional / trade qualifications. Applicants must be
interviewed
by the Training Program Manager (Principal) and Registrar before being
accepted. Alternative
arrangements can be made where distance prevents a visit to the College
for this interview.
Each
applicant must also:
- provide a
testimony of conversion and personal commitment to the Lord Jesus
Christ;
- be assured
of the personal leading of God to College, which normally should be
confirmed by a recommendation from his or her local church; and
- demonstrate
a spirit of dedication that will sustain the steady discipline required
in study and the training in a communal environment.

Advanced
Standing
Advanced
Standing may be granted for comparable work completed at an approved
level at a recognised tertiary institution, or non-formal learning from
life and work experience or informal training programs, to a maximum
of 50 percent of the award for which the student is enrolled.
Applicants
wishing to be considered for Advanced Standing are required to complete
an "Application for Advanced Standing Based on Recognition of Prior
Learning" form and supply documentation confirming studies completed or
non-formal training and work experiences. Applications will be assessed
on a case-by-case basis. Assessment of an application does not imply a
guaranteed admission to or Advanced Standing in a course at the
College.
Mutual
Recognition
The College
will recognise the AQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainments
issued by other Registered Training Organisations, where the learning
outcomes, content and assessment methods are compatible with those of
Tahlee Bible College.
For students
enrolling in the Certificate IV in
Christian Ministry, recognition and
Advanced
Standing to a maximum of 50 percent of the award will be given to
applicants
who have completed a Certificate III course in a related discipline,
such as Certificate III in Biblical Studies or Christian Studies.

Commencement
Students may
commence studies in first semester (late January) or second semester
(late July).
